Transmultiplex using fractional delays

چکیده
In this paper we propose an alternative technique to the implementation of Discrete Wavelet MultiTone systems based on fractional-delay filter banks. The technique yields orthogonal subband signals which allows independent equalization for each subband at the receiver end. When compared to systems employing cosine-modulated filter banks, our technique shows better performance in terms of bit-error rate, particularly for low signal-to-noise ratios and highly selective channels.
